phat sammy's

  1. For a Monday pick-me up: Phat Sammy’s

When it comes to combating that start-of-the-week lethargy, Phat Sammy’s is the place to be. Their food is always weird and delicious, but Mondays are a special experience thanks to their Lunch Lady Glow Up Specials.

You read that right – each Monday, Phat Sammy’s rolls out a new special served on a lunch tray for maximum nostalgia, though the food is way more delicious than anything you can find in a cafeteria. Each special comes with an appetizer, an entrée, a side, and a dessert, plus a drink of your choice… and all this for under $15.

You can find Phat Sammy’s downtown on Jefferson street, just look for the metal pineapple! To see a Blue Summit Supplies exclusive on this one-of-a-kind restaurant, check out our Made in the Rocket City video featuring Phat Sammy’s.

  1. For Taco Tuesdays: Bandito Burrito

Every Tuesday is cause to celebrate because tacos. Our top pick for Taco Tuesday? Bandito Burrito.

This Huntsville staple has big portions and all the classic Mexican eats options. Not that hungry? Grab some of their chips and queso – their delicious, delicious chips and queso.

Honorable mention for Taco Tuesday goes to Hops and Guac, located close by on the first floor of Campus 805. They’ve got a self-serve beer wall in case you wanna get your mid-week buzz on.

cricket's wings

  1. For our Madison folks: Cricket’s

If you’re in Madison check out Cricket’s. This wing joint has all the classic flavor favorites, including lemon pepper, buffalo (mild to extra-hot), and BBQ, plus a few off-the-wall, delicious options like habanero mango and honey gold. They also serve burgers, sandwiches, and corn dogs, but their wings are next-level delicious.

Our Graphic Designer, Jess, has a regular order when she goes: the medium special, which is 8 medium wings served extra wet, fries, and a sweet tea. But her love extends beyond just a regular order. She also named her kitten Cricket after the restaurant chain. Good job, Jess.
